چکیده

A dynamic network is a network whose components may interact on channels established dynamically by the communication of their associated ports This paper generalises a speci cation technique based on input output relations on streams to capture the special kind of privacy preservation found in such networks A privacy preserving component never accesses depends on or sends a port whose name it does not know Composite speci cations de scribing networks of such components are built from elementary speci cations with three specially designed operators one operator for static hiding one for dynamic hiding and one for parallel composition modulo many to many communication The need for the three operators is motivated by a small example

Static and Dynamic Speci cation Slicing

A speci cation slice is a projection of a formal speci cation, which is simpler and potentially more comprehensible than the original speci cation. A static speci cation slice contains speci cations that might restrict the value of a variable. A dynamic speci cation slice consists of speci cations that actually a ect the value of a variable along the sequence of operations performed. Dynamic sp...

Minimal Semantics for Action Speci cations in First order Dynamic Logic

In this paper we investigate minimal semantics for First Order Dynamic Logic formulas The goal is to be able to write action speci cations in a declarative pre post condition style The declarative speci cation of actions comes with some well known problems the frame problem the quali cation problem and the ram i cation problem We incorporate the assumptions that are inherent to both the frame a...

Speci cation and Re nement of Networks of Asynchronously Communicating Agents

This paper presents an assumption commitment speci cation tech nique and a re nement calculus for networks of agents communicating asyn chronously via unbounded FIFO channels in the tradition of Kahn We de ne two types of assumption commitment speci cations namely simple and general speci cations It is shown that semantically any deterministic agent can be uniquely char acterized by a simple sp...

A framework for modeling transfer protocols

The notion of speci®cation frameworks transposes the framework approach from software development to the level of formal modeling and analysis. A speci®cation framework is devoted to a special application domain. It supplies reusable speci®cation modules and guides the construction of speci®cations. Moreover, it provides theorems to be used as building blocks of veri®cations. By means of a suit...

The Formal Speci cation of Oberon

This paper presents the formal speci cation of the programming language Oberon. Using Montages we give a description of syntax, static, and dynamic semantics of all constructs of the language. The speci cation is arranged in ve re nement steps, each of them results in a working sub{language of Oberon. The compactness and readability of the speci cation make us believe that it can be used for a ...
